🎨 Palette critique
Stuck on a wall color, brand palette, or wedding scheme? Send a photo or your hex codes — I occasionally tear palettes apart for free if the case is interesting.
📰 Press & interviews
Quotes for design articles, podcast guesting, expert commentary on color trends. I respond fast on deadline-driven requests.
🤝 Brand partnerships
Paint brands, design tools, paint-deck makers, color cards. I only partner with products I'd genuinely specify on a paying client's project.
✍️ Guest posts & contributors
I rarely accept guest posts, but I do work with credentialed designers, color scientists, and paint specifiers on co-bylined deep dives.
🔧 Site issue or correction
Broken link? Out-of-date hex code? Spotted a paint name that's been discontinued? Tell me — I'll fix it the same week.
👋 Just saying hi
A reader story, a palette that worked, a question I've never been asked before. These are the emails that make the work worth it.
What I will and won't help with
Being upfront saves us both time. Here's where I'm useful and where I'm not.
I'll happily help with
- Reader palette questions — undertones, pairings, lighting issues.
- Designer sanity checks before client presentations.
- Brand color audits (paid, if scope is big).
- Wedding palette troubleshooting, especially "everything looks brown in photos" emergencies.
- Press and trend commentary on color forecasting.
I won't be the right fit for
- Free 1-on-1 design consultations (paid clients only — schedule via email).
- "Will you write a sponsored post that says our paint is the best?" Pitches that ask me to swap honest opinion for cash get a polite no every time.
- Generic SEO link exchanges. I link out when it earns the reader something. Never as a swap.
- Hex code generators or AI palette tools requesting endorsement without a working test version.
Quick contact form
Prefer not to email? Fill this out and it lands in the same inbox. Be specific in the message — vague questions get vague answers; detailed ones get a real reply.
Find the work elsewhere
If you'd rather watch palettes get pulled apart in real time, I'm most active on a few platforms. Pinterest gets the swatches. Instagram gets the room reveals. The X account is mostly hot takes about beige.
- Pinterest — palette boards by season & aesthetic
- Instagram — before/after room shots
- X / Twitter — daily color opinions
- Facebook — long-form post recaps
- Reddit — answers in r/InteriorDesign and r/Design
